Dear website visitors,

I would like to introduce briefly myself, since we will be working closely together from now on. I'm working as Regional Media Coordinator of Youth Initiative for Human Rights (http://www.yihr.org), an organization that will take over website management after Belgrade seminar.

For those coming to Belgrade, we will have a chance to meet f2f and discuss more about website content and hopefully enjoy some of Belgrade as well.

For others who will not be in Belgrade, I'd like to hear all your suggestions and needs for the website content and design. It would be very useful for both users and website managers.

It is raining today in Belgrade and is very cold, but last weekend we have experienced real spring time. So, hope for a nice weather and welcome to Belgrade!!!!

This should be the begining of a beautiful friendship :)

Hi! My name is Jared, and I work for the Information and Communications Technology team with the National Democratic Institute. You'll find me at the conference deep in conversation about the great political possibilities for social networking tools, the best football team in the world, Barça, and the latest geo-political hotspots!

I look forward to meeting each of you in Belgrade. Please don't hesitate to contact me (jfordATndiDOTorg) for any political technology related questions, and be ready to take an upcoming survey on your own internet and technology behavior that will help us to understand and support you as effective leaders.

Cheers!

p.s. For anyone who has been to Belgrade before, are there any places not to be missed?

Just a quick hello from the folks here at IRI in Washington--thought I should properly introduce myself now that Uli has welcomed everyone. My colleague Chris (I'm sure he'll pop up here soon enough) and I are working hard on all the details of the seminar here along with everyone over at NDI and ACYPL.

The next few weeks are going to be very busy as we finalize the seminar agenda, confirm guest speakers and trainers, and work on all of the logistical details that are so important with a group this large. I hope you are patient with us if we seem a little stressed! Please do leave a message or send an email if you have any questions about the seminar and we'll be happy to get back to you.

I'm looking forward to meeting people from all over the region and experiencing the dialogue from so many dynamic individuals. See you in Belgrade!

Hi and Welcome!

We are all very excited about this event and will use this forum to keep you regularly updated about the seminar itself and what's going on around it. "We" is a team of people from NDI, the International Republican Institute (IRI), and the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL). I'm sure you will meet Rebecca, Jared, Kate, Christopher, and Bronwyn (who has been involved with this site for awhile and whom some of you may already know) as we go along.

We will post more information shortly, so stay tuned!
