The Democratic Youth Network is guided by a Steering Committee of volunteers dedicated to the growth and development of this website. However, this community would not be possible without the assistance of our partners:

Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) is a regional network of non-governmental organisations, with programmes in the territories of Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. YIHR was formed by young
people from these countries in order to enhance youth participation in democratisation of the society and empowerment of the rule of law by driving processes of facing the past and establishing new progressive connections in the post-conflict region of the former Yugoslavia. YIHR was established in 2003. More than 30 people work on it's various projects on a daily basis, while several hundred volunteers participate in the organisation's activities.
In 1983, the U.S. Congress created the National Endowment for Democracy to support aspiring democrats worldwide. Four nonprofit, nonpartisan democracy institutes were formed to carry out this work; of these, two -- the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) -- have collaborated with USAID and ACYPL on the production of the Young Political Leaders Seminars which have, in turn, sparked the creation of this website.
Established in April 1983, the International Republican Institute (IRI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide by developing political parties, civic institutions, open elections, good governance and the rule of law. For 25 years, IRI has been helping to spread democracy through trainings by volunteer experts from all over the world on political party and candidate development, good governance practices, civil society development, civic education, women's and youth leadership development, electoral reform and election monitoring, and political expression in closed societies. IRI has conducted programs in more than 100 countries and is currently active in 70 countries.
